Everest Drain & Plumbing is a Toronto plumbing and drain company, founded in 2013 and licensed by the City. In 1890, the land of Roncesvalles was divided into lots, and most of the houses that followed were built within the next 30 years. Larger homes went up on High Park Boulevard and High Park Gardens between 1910 and 1930.
Our plumbing services Roncesvalles homeowners can book include lead line swaps, flood protection, drain cleaning and leak repair. The fix is explained in terms that you can understand and the cost is quoted before any work is done.
Augers and water jetting remove grease, hair and scale from old kitchen and bathroom lines.
We trace the leak behind plaster and repair the pipe that is responsible.

The rebuild of Roncesvalles Avenue from 2009 to 2011 saw a replacement of sewers and water mains. The pipe from your property to the house is not part of the City’s responsibility and is yours to replace. Almost all houses in the neighbourhood have a lead service pipe, and those were installed before the mid-1950s.
We replace the section of your water service with new copper pipe. Then you apply to the City’s Priority Lead Water Service Replacement Program with our invoice. The City will replace its part within 12 weeks of approval, and Toronto Public Health recommends replacing both sides.
Roncesvalles is located within the City’s Basement Flooding Study Area 42, which is between Keele Street and the Don Valley Parkway to the east, and south to the lake.
The City estimates that a large portion of this older area of Toronto is connected to combined sewers. During a heavy storm, these pipes fill with water and sewage, and the overflow then goes through the basement floor drains.
We install backwater valves, sump pumps with battery backup and weeping tile disconnections.
The Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy provides 80 per cent of eligible costs for each property, up to a maximum of $6,650. The programme will only accept contractors that are licensed by the City, and our City licence is T94-4306348.
YOUR LOCAL PLUMBING EXPERTS
Proudly serving Roncesvalles with reliable plumbing solutions.
Everest Drain & Plumbing service Roncesvalles from Parkside Drive to Lansdowne Avenue, between Bloor Street West and Queen Street West. Along the avenue, we clear kitchen grease lines and install grease traps for restaurants and cafés.
The rusting of water lines, especially those that are galvanized, reduces water pressure and creates water leakage at the joints. Our plumbers replace old pipes with copper or PEX. When remodelling, we replace faucets, toilet valves and shower valves and check them all for leaks.
Roots from mature street trees push into the joints of clay sewer pipes. Grease and scale narrow old cast iron drains. We use augers and high-velocity water jetting to clear both. A collapsed sewer line can be replaced with trenchless technology instead of a trench across your front yard.
Everest’s services are priced on a flat rate after an on-site inspection. The figure reflects the repair, the pipe material and the space around the pipe. The price is agreed to before any work is done. Backwater valves, sump pumps and weeping tile work may be eligible for the City subsidy.
The majority of houses in Roncesvalles are over 100 years old. We take on the tight basements and old pipe runs other crews avoid, and we fix the root cause.
Each technician on our team holds a 306A licence from Skilled Trades Ontario. Every job is covered by WSIB and full insurance.
Your flood protection work may qualify as our City of Toronto plumbing contractor licence is in compliance with the subsidy rule.
A flat rate is quoted before any work is done. We only repair what's broken.
No call centre is provided. A licensed plumber picks up and advises you on how to stop the water and minimise the damage.

No. The 2009-2011 project involved replacement of the sewers and water mains underneath the avenue. Your water service and sewer line, from the property line into the house, belong to you. That private section is not affected by city road work.
Houses constructed prior to mid-1950 might have a lead service pipe. You may verify this through City records by calling 311 or having a licensed plumber examine the water pipe next to the water meter. Toronto Water offers free lead testing for drinking water.
The subsidy is 80 per cent for each work done on or after November 12, 2025, with a cap of $6,650 per property. The limits are: $1,600 per backwater valve (up to two valves), $2,250 for a sump pump, $300 for a battery backup system, $500 for a home plumbing assessment, and $400 for weeping tile severance and capping.
Combined sewers use the same pipe to collect rainwater and sewage. Heavy rain quickly fills this pipe, and the overflow seeks out the lowest available drain. In most cases, that’s the basement floor drain. City flood studies for this part of Toronto cite the storm of July 8, 2013.
