Septic Tank Installation: Everything You Need to Know for Your Property

What is Septic tank and how does it work ?

A septic tank is essentially an underground disposition system employed in wastewater treatment, adopted when centralized sewer systems are not available. It also serves to treat household wastewater coming from toilets, sinks, showers, and so on for appropriate disposal on-site. visual interpretation septic system

The septic tank is designed to receive wastewater from a house and to separate the waste into three layers: the solids that settle at the bottom (sludge), oils and grease that float to the top, known as scum, and liquid effluent in the middle. The solids are decomposed by bacteria inside the tank, whereas the liquid effluent is filtered and flows out into the drain field. The effluent is further treated in the soil of the drain field, where it safely absorbs into the ground. This system should work efficiently, never giving rise to potential problems, such as backups or system failure, with periodic servicing by removal of sludge.

I called Everest Plumbing the day after a crazy storm because my sump pump stopped working. Nimesh came the same day and replaced my sump pump quickly and efficiently. Afterward he was very responsive by text and phone when I had concerns because the pump was running constantly. He even came back on a Saturday morning (his day off) to re-examine it. By that time it was functioning perfectly because he was right - it had been running because of the high water table. Excellent service and follow up!

I had a huge problem with a backup sewer back on March 2026. I called a major Canadian plumbing company who came over chaged me $360 to put a camera in the pipe. The guy the whole time criticized the drainage system. He suggested that I break the whole basement and replaced the sewer line. He pushed for me to sign a contract that would cost twenty thousand. I didn't feel comfortable with his attitude. I had never had problems for 15 years. I began to look for another company, then I new it would cost me more money to put the camera again. So I called back the company to file a complaint. The secretary told me she would send the supervisor over, which she did. He was very nice, put the camera again and told me the problem was outside the house. He told me the pipe was broken and uneven, which was causing the problem. I couldn't understand how a PVC pipe could have been broken since it was done around 2010 and 2015. Since the backup was smelling really bad in the house I agreed to pay for their service. What he didn't tell me that the problem was on the city side of the property. They were dishonest and took advantage of my situation to charge me a lot of money and didn't solve the problem. 4 months later, I had the same problem. I called back the supervisor who told me he was busy and would return the call later and never did. The is when I called Everest Drain &Plumbing company. Suraj came over, put the camera in the sewer he showed me the same broken pipe the other company had showed me. He then told me the problem was on the city side and I should contact the city. I called the city right away while he was still here. He helped me by speaking with the city and explained the situation which was urgent. Suraj was extremely helpful, honest and cordial. I am so grateful for his service and honesty. Should I have any plumbing issues I will definitely call Everest Drain & Plumbing company again. Thank you Suraj.

Big thanks to Mr. Nimesh. He really saved me and my home from almost flooding the basement. Nimesh was quick to snake the blocked drain, and later, with his camera inspection, he found that the blockage was caused by roots. He snaked and cleared out the roots. Everything is now working completely fine, and he showed his work through a camera inspection proving the roots were cleared after the snake. A big thank you to Mr. Nimesh for helping to calm down such a panic moment.

Found Everest on Google after looking for someone to clean our drain line. Rajiv and Sandip appear as a team; their housekeeping was excellent. They cover and protect every aspect as needed. The work performed was clean and swift. They did power flushing until all the debris was clear time and again. Impress with their dedication toward work. I had a pipe burst a few days ago and contacted several companies, but Everest Drain and Plumbing was the only one that could clearly confirm how soon they could attend to the issue. They offered me a 9:00 AM appointment the following morning and arrived right on time — even a bit early. I truly appreciated the prompt response, professionalism, and fair pricing. The service was efficient, and everything was handled smoothly. I would definitely choose Everest again for any future plumbing needs. Thank you, Everest, for your excellent and reliable service!

I had a pipe burst a few days before Christmas - tis the season. Out of the companies that I contacted, Everest was the only company that could confirm how soon they'd be able to attend to the issue. They offered an appointment for 9am the following morning and Indra was prompt, if not early. We were very appreciative with his service, and I would go directly with them for future plumbing issues/needs. Thank you Indra and Everest for your prompt service and pricing.
